Good value with the annual plan

I was looking for a cost-effective way to get some real estate data. The annual plan for the Real Estate Data Scraper seemed like the best deal. I got a decent amount of credits, and it definitely cost less than paying monthly. The tool itself worked, got the info I needed for my analysis. It felt like a good investment for the price, especially compared to doing it all manually or hiring someone. I'd say it was worth it for the amount I saved.

Good for lead gen, delivery a bit slow

I tried the Lead Generation Tool for a project. It pulled most of the data I needed, which was great for the price. The interface for setting it up was pretty intuitive. However, the delivery of the final dataset took about a day longer than I expected. It wasn't a huge deal, but something to keep in mind if you're on a tight deadline. Overall, still a solid option, just wish the processing was a tad quicker sometimes.

Excellent E-commerce Scraper!

Wow, the E-commerce Scraper was fantastic! I needed to monitor prices across several online stores, and this tool handled it with ease. The data came back so quickly and was perfectly formatted. It saved me a ton of time and effort. I'm definitely going to use ScrapeTable again for future projects and will recommend it to my colleagues!

Always reliable for data

This is my third time using ScrapeTable, previously for market research and now for lead gen. Their Structured Data API is consistently good. The data quality is always high, and I've never had a major service interruption. It's why I keep coming back, can trust it to deliver what it promises.

I'm a student, is there any kind of student discount for ScrapeTable?

K Kevin W. 1 month ago
I think I saw something about student discounts in their FAQs, worth checking their site directly.

T Todd Whitfield 1 month ago
Yeah, they do. I heard about it from a classmate, pretty sure you can get a good deal if you verify your student status.

If I sign up for the monthly plan, how easy is it to cancel if it doesn't work out?

O Omar 2 months ago
Pretty easy. I canceled once when I paused a project. Just a few clicks in the account settings, no hassle.

N Nina Carter 2 months ago
Yeah, they don't lock you in. You can cancel your subscription whenever you need to, no big deal.

Is there usually a way to get a discount? Like, do they do promo codes or anything for new users?

I Ivy R. 2 months ago
You can usually get some free credits when you sign up. For actual promo codes, those are rarer, more for specific campaigns.

Your best bet is the annual plan discount, saves you a good chunk. Sometimes they have special holiday deals too, like Black Friday.

How does ScrapeTable compare to Octoparse? I've used Octoparse before, but looking for something maybe a bit more powerful.

R Rachel Walsh 1 month ago
ScrapeTable feels more developer-focused if you're using the API, but the no-code is competitive. Octoparse is good, but ScrapeTable's proxy rotation and captcha handling felt smoother for me on tougher sites.

Honestly, it depends on what you're scraping. For just converting simple tables, they're similar. But if you need more complex stuff or large scale, ScrapeTable's API is probably better. Octoparse is good for visual point-and-click though.

Do they have any limits on how many pages you can scrape or is it all credit-based?

E Emma M. 2 months ago
It's credit-based. Each action uses credits, so it's not really a page limit as much as a credit budget. Bigger jobs use more credits.

S Sam 1 month ago
Yeah, you buy credits and use them up. No hard 'page limit' per se, but complex scrapes or really large sites will chew through credits faster.

Anyone know if ScrapeTable can handle those tricky sites with lots of pop-ups and stuff, or captchas?

P Paula Carter 2 months ago
Mine handles most of the JS heavy sites fine. It says it deals with CAPTCHAs too, but I haven't really run into that often.

B Brett Brooks 2 months ago
They have a headless browser thing, so yeah, it usually navigates those sites pretty well. For CAPTCHAs, it integrates with solvers, so you're covered.

I'm thinking about the annual plan to save some money. Do they offer a better discount around specific times of the year, like Black Friday?

D Dan V. 2 months ago
They often do, yeah. Black Friday and Cyber Monday usually have some good SaaS deals, so I'd keep an eye out around then.

S Sarah Kaur 2 months ago
New Year and Q1 budget planning can also sometimes have special offers. The 15-25% for annual is standard, but sometimes those holiday deals stack or are even better.

Hey, I'm looking into ScrapeTable for a new project. How easy is it to actually get started if I'm not a super technical person?

T Tom 2 months ago
It's pretty straightforward, honestly. I'm no coder and I got a basic scraper running in like an hour. The no-code tool is solid.

N Nick 2 months ago
Yeah, I use the no-code side of it. You just point it at a website and tell it what you want. It's surprisingly intuitive.
